Kaia Gerber has teamed up with legendary photography duo Inez & Vinoodh to support research on children

Kaia Gerber is known for her fashion credentials and modeling stardom, but alongside her runway career and high-profile campaigns, the model is also a voice for charitable causes.

The 20-year-old model daughter of 90s icon Cindy Crawford hadn’t posted a picture on Instagram since she kindly paid tribute to heroic writer Joan Didion before Christmas.

But now she’s popped up on our feeds again, and for a big reason too.

She works to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which treats people with the most difficult childhood cancers and pediatric diseases.

Gerber wrote on Instagram, “Such an honor to host the 27th Annual @laartshow Opening Night Reception last night in support of a cause very important to me.”

‘Thank you to everyone who came out and supported @stjude as they work to ensure families are never billed for treatment, travel, accommodation or food – because st. Jude thinks that a family should only worry about helping its child to live.

In the photos she shared, the model can be seen donning the outfit she wore to host the LA Art Show Benefit, in support of the cause, which included a sparkling Celine work dress.

Additionally, Gerber has also teamed up with fashion photography duo Inez & Vinoodh to create a digital greeting card that supports the hospital.

From the greeting card, which shows a pop art-style image of Gerber with eye-catching metallic makeup – a nod to Inez & Vinoodh’s two-decade career in high fashion – Gerber also shared a message via her Instagram story.

The greeting card is signed with xoxo and the model’s signature.

She wrote: “To help raise more donations for @stjude, I’ve teamed up with @doubledutchcatch and @inezandvinoodh to create this new digital greeting card to benefit Children’s Research Hospital.

She concluded, “You can use this to send a message of love to friends and family while donating to St. Jude at the same time!” xo.

Gerber – whose father is American businessman Rande Gerber, and who is the younger sister of his 22-year-old brother Presley – spoke adoringly of his model mother.

To celebrate her mother’s 55th birthday in February last year, she wrote a message on Instagram which read: “Happy birthday beautiful mum.”

Prior to Gerber’s work for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she starred in a special production of Gatsby the magnificent to support the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).

She played lead character Daisy Buchanan in the production, which was spun off from the 1920s novel of the same name (which was later made into a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan as protagonists).

He explained that for events such as Gatsby the magnificent production, rather than getting people to buy tickets, viewers are being asked to donate.

Dolce & Gabbana, along with amfAR, are lead sponsors of the performance and are pledging to match each donation up to £11,000 ($15.00).
